The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield, Inc. (TSF) is honored to announce the establishment of the Trudy Encarnacao Fund as a permanent fund. Beginning in June 2025, a scholarship will be awarded in Trudy’s name to a local student pursuing education beyond high school.
This fund was established in celebration of Trudy Encarnacao’s 80th birthday. A Wakefield resident since 1967, Trudy and her husband John raised five children who attended Wakefield schools and were active in sports and school activities. Trudy’s true passion was education. She was actively involved in the PTOs of Wakefield’s schools and served as a dedicated teacher in the Wakefield school system for over 20 years, always committed to making a lasting impact on her students. This fund honors Trudy’s lifelong commitment to education and community by giving back to the citizens and students of Wakefield, who have been such an important part of her life.
