We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Jay Landers for his remarkable 33 years of service to The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield. Since joining the board in 1992, recruited by his friend and Past President Jean Hall, Jay has served as director, auditor, vice president, president, and, for close to three decades, treasurer. His leadership has been marked by countless hours devoted to safeguarding the organization’s financial health and guiding the group through challenges and growth.

In 1994, Jay was elected vice president, and two years later, in 1996, he became president. When his presidency concluded in 1998, he immediately stepped into the treasurer’s role following the retirement of Don Gannon. Jay has held this position with steady, thoughtful guidance ever since.

Beyond his board duties, Jay has been a constant presence at TSF events, including as a long-time supporter of the Trivia Team Challenge, as leader of the Quannapowitt Mud Turtles. When a fund is close to reaching permanency or an event needs financial backing, Jay is always there—generous in both resources and spirit. For his efforts, Jay was named to the CSF National Honor Roll in 1999.

A walking history of TSF, Jay knows every chapter of our story. His deep commitment, tireless energy, and unwavering optimism inspire all who work alongside him. His cheerful nature is as much a gift to TSF as his decades of leadership.

We are proud to honor and thank Jay for his extraordinary service and lasting impact on The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield and dedicate this program booklet to him with admiration and affection.
