Out of an abundance of caution and concern for all participants, as a result of the current state of emergency, we have decided that the 2020 TSF Phonathon (the live event on Sat March 21st) will be cancelled. We feel that this decision is reasonable to mitigate the risk of exposure to Covid-19 for our adult and student directors as well as our other volunteers.
We don’t have any plans to reschedule the Phonathon. We will be taking additional measures through our social and print media platforms to update the community and will be conducting a Phonathon mailing to those on our donor lists.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and certainly appreciate your continued support for our ongoing TSF efforts. Please feel free to contact the office if you have any additional questions or concerns.

TSF of Wakefield 40th Annual Phonathon
The Scholarship Foundation will be calling your number on March 21st
Local high school students will be manning the telephones during the 40th annual TSF of Wakefield Phonathon on Saturday, March 21st. Student volunteers will be calling Wakefield residents between 12 noon and 4 p.m.
The annual Phonathon helps raise funds for scholarships awarded to Wakefield college students. Each donation, regardless of the dollar amount, goes a long way in making a difference in the life of at least one local student in need of scholarship assistance. Last year’s volunteers helped raise over $42,000!
Everyone who receives a call on March 21st is encouraged to make a tax-deductible donation to TSF, whether it is to the general fund, or to a specific permanent or accumulating fund. After the pledge is made, the donor will receive a confirmation by mail. Donations can be applied to an existing permanent or accumulating scholarship by noting the name of the fund on the check. Any local residents who are not at home when the call is made can send their donation to TSF of Wakefield Phonathon, PO Box 321, Wakefield, MA 01880.
