Peter A. and Elizabeth G. Alemi Fund

Peter was born in 1903 in Boston of Italian immigrants, Pietro and Vita. He was educated in Boston schools, graduated from Boston College in 1924, and received his Masters of Education in 1925. Peter taught French at Dorchester High for 43 years. In his youth, he was a semi-pro baseball player and a drummer for silent movies. He died in 1997. Elizabeth was born in 1905 in Boston of Irish parents, John and Catherine Murphy. She was educated in Boston schools, graduated from Bryant Stratton Business School in 1925, and worked for the American Red Cross for 20 years. She was a member of the Papauolous Club of Boston where she sang and danced in many musical productions. Both had an avid interest in Wakefield High sports because of their six grandchildren, Fred, Cathy, Stephen, David, Carolyn, and Cara Palmerino.
