This fund honors a WHS Class of 1963 graduate who was killed in Vietnam in 1968 where he was serving with the First Brigade, 5th Division, and US Army. He played football in high school and was president of the Student Council. He was a junior at Boston University when he enlisted. Peter believed in the causes that were being expounded by President Kennedy, Dr. Martin Luther King, and Bobby Kennedy. He was a Democrat and a liberal, personifying the decade of the 60’s when young people in high school and college campuses were reborn with a spirit of political activism. He truly believed that liberty and freedom were meant for all, black or white, Catholic or Protestant, male or female.
