A portion of the monies donated to the Annual Phonathon, that have been directed by the donor to go to “the greatest need” is allocated to provide additional yearly scholarships through our general fund. The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield, Inc. raises money throughout the year in order to provide scholarships for Wakefield students. We’ve been doing so since 1960 and have assisted over 12,000 students and given out over $13.4 million dollars in scholarships. Some of our annual fundraisers include the Phonathon, Golf Tournament, Trivia Team Challenge and Comedy Night. The scholarship you are receiving is truly an expression of the community’s support for higher education.
