Dr. Thibeault ran Fairlawn Kennels at the head of Lake Quannapowitt for many years. He served as a veterinarian for 60 years, and was recognized by the Massachusetts Society for promoting Agriculture in 1988. He was also recognized in 1987 by the Massachusetts Medical Society as its oldest living member and for his many years of service to veterinary medicine. Dr. Thibeault was interested in helping young people pursue careers in veterinary medicine, animal husbandry, and agriculture. Back in 1969, Dr. Thibeault walked into a TSF meeting being held in the Beebe Library, and handed a surprised, newly elected President, Catherine A. Simpson, a check for $10,000 stating that an additional $15,000 would be forthcoming as well!
