This fund was established in July 1996 upon the accidental death of Don Nealon who, along with his family, moved to Wakefield in 1993. Don died of injuries sustained in a boating accident at the Point of Pines Yacht Club in Revere. He was a member of the Malden Eagles and the Irish-American Club of Malden. The fund was established by Don’s friends and family to honor the memory of a man who loved all children and who, in turn, was loved by all children who knew him. Donald Nealon’s widow moved from Wakefield to Canton in 1999.
