This fund was established immediately following Dana Purrington’s sudden death in 1989 in a highway towing accident. He was the owner of Flat Top Towing Company. Within two weeks of his death his many friends and associates contributed generously to make this fund permanent. He was a member of the West Side Social Club, Crystal Community Club, and the Iron Horse Motorcycle Club. His funeral was heavily attended, and many testimonials were published about his kindness to motorists in need.
