Chris Stout, a member of the Wakefield High School Class of 1989, passed away in 1987 after an illness of 16 years. His classmates established this fund as a way to honor the memory of a loveable individual who supported the Wakefield High School varsity soccer team as manager for two years. Despite his illness, Chris never felt sorry for himself and he always strove to succeed in whatever he did. He taught everyone he came into contact so very much about life. Throughout his pain, Chris always appeared upbeat and happy so that no one around him would be sad. Wakefield High School assistant soccer coach Dick McAuliffe paid tribute to Chris as follows: “when Chris left us, we perhaps lost the best teacher any person could have”.
