This fund was established in 2013 by Richard W. Bardet and Sarah E. Bardet (father and daughter) with a preference for a recipient who plans to study a language, any language, in college and become a teacher. Richard received a BA in English from Elmhurst College and has tutored high school students for the past 13 years. Sarah has an undergraduate degree in Spanish and Education from Simmons College and a graduate degree in Spanish from Middlebury College. She is a Spanish Teacher at Wakefield High School.
