TSF Director and Financial Vice President William Spaulding initiated this fund in memory of his aunt and uncle. With no children of their own, Alice and Albert were instrumental in financing Bill’s higher education. Albert was a woolen manufacturer in Maine, President of the North Berwick National Bank, and Director of American Mutual Liability Insurance Company. Alice was a schoolteacher as a young woman, an active community and church volunteer, and a driving force for higher education for young people.
